Overview
Change can cause our work and our lives to become unpredictable, leading us into the unknown. It can appear chaotic, and even threatening. The changes we experience may be ones we don't like, yet we may be unable to control them. Our old ways of doing things, our familiar patterns and comfort zones, are gone. What do we do now? In order to cope, and better yet, thrive in a changing environment, we need to be able transform ourselves. Then we will be prepared to successfully meet and perform in new situations. In this presentation you will learn the skills needed to move through the change process effectively.

Objectives
Define change. Identify the levels and stages of change and be able to recognize them in your situation. Recognize what you need to know in order to plan an upcoming change successfully for yourself or for a group of people. Identify the range of emotions that change processes can activate in you and in others, and ascertain how to deal effectively with them. Discover how to be more confident during periods of change. Experience methods that will help you move with intention and awareness through change, and help produce peacefulness, cooperation, and stability in your life. In a Learning Summary, decide upon key points to remember. and select action steps for using this information in practical and immediate ways.

Format
This training includes experiential learning, conceptual information, discussion, visuals, and group interaction designed to teach and integrate the concepts. It also includes a training manual for each participant.

• Self empowerment and gaining a sense of control
• Group dynamics during periods of unexpected or profound change
• Managing communications during periods of change

• Tools and exercises for effective change management
